|2017-18 School Enrollment Opens to Downtown OKC Families|
|OKLAHOMA CITY (Feb. 6, 2017) – Enrollment for the 2017-2018 school year is now open to residents living in the John W. Rex Charter Elementary School (JRCES) attendance zone in downtown Oklahoma City. The school serves students in pre-K to fifth grade.
This will be the first year the school offers fifth grade.
JRCES is a tuition-free charter school that opened in August 2014. Residents in the attendance zone are guaranteed a seat at the school. Visit the school’s website at johnrexschool.org for attendance zone information, enrollment forms and checklists.
A special early-bird window is open to downtown Oklahoma City families to secure a seat from Feb. 27 to March 10.
To enroll, bring residency verification documents and enrollment paperwork to the school office between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Monday through Friday, or 4 to 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. This special window will allow JRCES to provide priority to downtown families. However, residents of the attendance zone may enroll at any time and are not subject to a lottery.
The school is located at 500 W. Sheridan Ave. in Oklahoma City.
